Roopnath Dham is a religious and historically important place. At this site you will see the ancient temple of Lord Shiva, from which a cave comes out, about this cave people believe that Lord Shiva was hiding from this cave to escape from Bhasmasura. It is also said about this cave that this cave goes to Bandakpur in Damoh district. Lord Shiva passed through this cave in Bandakpur in ancient times, the Shiva temple of Bandakpur is also very famous. Shiva Bhagwan stayed here with his processions, Three kunds were built here to quench the thirst of processions, these three kunds are known as Ram Kund, Sita Kund and Lakshman Kund. Status and access route of Rupnath Dham
Roopnath Dham is located in Katni district. Katni district is a district of Madhya Pradesh. This place will be located at a distance of about 60 km from Katni district. Roopnath Dham is 4 or 5 km from Bahoriband Tehsil of Katni District. Roopnath Dham is located at a distance of about 27 km from Sihora Nagar. This pilgrimage center will be about 70 km from Jabalpur district. You can go to this place of pilgrimage by your vehicle. If you go from Jabalpur to this place, you can go through erosion dham or you can go via Sihora road. If you come from Katni, you can come through Salimanabad. You can reach this place by bus, just you have to take care of time. If you come to Sihora Road from your vehicle, you will find the road from Tehsil Bahoriband to Roopnath Dham bad. But if you come through this route, then you get to see beautiful mountains which provide an enchanting view. You can reach Roopnath Dham via the Katav Dham in Jabalpur district. A series of hills are seen from Katav Dham to Roopnath Dham, this view of the mountains will get you to see the road which goes from Kataw Dham to Roopnath Dham.
